1 bag (6) pitas
2 T. olive oil
2 t. salt (I use mix of kosher and table salt)
1 t. garlic powder
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Cut each pita into 8 wedges (a pizza cutter is handy for this). Put pita wedges into a large mixing bowl.
Mix oil, salt, & garlic powder in a tiny bowl or teacup. Use a spoon to mix up oil and drizzle oil mixture over wedges, 1-2 t. at a time, tossing the pieces around between additions of oil. The pieces should all have a pretty light even coating when you’re done.
Spread the chips on a cookie sheet or in a 9”x13” pan and place in the oven. Stir every 5-10 minutes. You can let them go 10 min. the beginning, but will need to stir more often as they begin to dry. They’re done when they turn golden and are completely dried out. (I think this took me about 40 minutes in a 9”x13” pan.)
