6 oz good semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
1/4 c. chocolate syrup (I use Gin Niehage's Chocolate Sauce, in this section)
1 stick butter
1 t. vanilla extract
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/2 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 c. flour OR replace a third of the flour with ground hazelnuts
Preheat oven to 350. Butter and flour 8" square pan.
Melt chocolate in microwave, stirring often. Add chocolate sauce. Add butter and stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla and eggs. In another bowl, mix sugar, salt, flour, and hazelnuts. Add to chocolate mixture and stir thoroughly.
Pour into pan and bake until just cooked, about 30 minutes (I always start checking around 20-25 min).
When cool, cut into 1" squares (hence the "baby" part)... making them tiny bites of unimaginable joy.
Just slightly adapted from The New Basics

Trader Joe's 72% Chocolate, each 1" square has 3 g carb.
Grocery store chocolate chips, each 1" square has 4.4 g carb.
